Comic book blockbuster Iron Man 3 has become the fifth top-grossing film of all time, according to online movie tracker Box Office Mojo.

The sequel, which has now made $1.14bn (£760.5m) worldwide, overtook 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon to claim fifth place in the chart.

Iron Man 3, which opened in the UK in April and in the US in May, is the fourth film to feature Robert Downey Jr's metal-clad crime-fighter.

The third was 2012's Avengers Assemble, known in the US as The Avengers, whose current worldwide box office tally stands at $1.51bn (£1bn).

Iron Man 3 continues to perform strongly, although it has some way to go before its takings exceed the $1.34bn (£889m) that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 conjured up in 2011.

Once figures have been adjusted for inflation, however, neither title features in the US domestic all-time top 100, which is headed up by Gone With the Wind.

Pakistani actress Veena Malik, whose 'Zindagi 50-50' released this Friday, says she is a born actor. She feels she is responsible for the film she signs from day one of her association with it till its release.

"I am not a seasonal actor that I will do acting for some time and then move on to some other profession. I am born to act. I am a responsible actor. It is my responsibility to stand with my film from beginning to end," Veena said here during the screening of her film.

Veena has gone out of her way to promote her film Zindagi 50-50, directed by Rajiv S. Ruia.

She plays a sex worker in the film and recently she even promoted the film in Kamathipura, a red light area in Mumbai.

"Whenever I sign a film, I feel from day one till the date my film doesn't hit the theaters, it is my responsibility - whether I am unwell or unhappy about something, but I have to take out time to promote the film," she added.

LONDON: US writer Lydia Davis, best known for her unconventionally short stories, on Wednesday claimed the prestigious Man Booker International Prize at a London ceremony.

The New York based author beat off competition from the nine other authors who made the shortlist to win the award, which honours "achievement in fiction on the world stage".

While Davis writes conventional short stories, others consist of just one paragraph or sentence.

One of these stories, A Double Negative, reads: "At a certain point in her life, she realises it is not so much that she wants to have a child as that she does not want not to have a child, or not to have had a child."

The #60,000 ($90,000, 70,000 euros) prize is presented every two years and is awarded to a living author for work published originally in English or available in translation in English.

Christopher Ricks, chair of the judging panel, paid tribute to Davis's ability to "realise things down to the very word or syllable".

The Man Booker website quoted one of her other stories: "I was recently denied a writing prize because they said I was lazy," it reads.

"Well, not any more," said the website.

LOS ANGELES: Four finalists are vying for the ``Dancing With the Stars'' title, and just one point separates the top two contestants.

A new champion will be crowned Tuesday.

Football pro Jacoby Jones, Olympian Alexandra Raisman, singer Kellie Pickler and 16-year-old Disney Channel star Zendaya each did three dances on Monday's episode of the ABC competition.

Zendaya was perfect in the judges' eyes, earning the maximum score for each routine.

``You've only just scratched the surface of your talent,'' head judge Len Goodman said.

Pickler was a close second, collecting perfect 10s for her quickstep and freestyle dances, but finishing behind Zendaya in the cha-cha relay, which saw all four finalists perform to the same song.

Pickler's freestyle brought judge Carrie Ann Inaba to tears.

``You just bared your soul on the dance floor and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen,'' Inaba said.

Raisman finished third after wowing the judges with a freestyle routine that incorporated gymnastics and stunts on vertical bars. Jones landed in last place, falling short on his action-packed freestyle that Inaba said distracted from his dancing.

Viewers were given until 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday to cast votes on Facebook. The show's hosts, Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet, said ABC's online voting system was down Monday night.

Each contestant will perform one last dance during Tuesday's season finale to add points to their totals. Judges' scores combined with viewer votes will determine the new champion.
